Zhongyi NI

I am Zhongyi NI, a doctoral student in the advanced materials thrust at the Functional Hub of HKUST(GZ). After obtaining dual degrees in Mathematics and Electronic Information Science from Fudan University, I came to here to conduct in-depth research in the field of quantum computing and scientific computation. Our school has always advocated for interdisciplinary integration, which has greatly helped my research. For example, exchanging ideas with the research group conducting quantum experiments has allowed me to gain a better understanding of the advantages and limitations of various promising platforms for realizing quantum computers. Additionally, students of applied mathematics have helped me a lot to strengthen the theoretical basis of my research. At the same time, the school has provided me with attentive and professional mentorship, diverse and high-quality courses, and a comfortable learning and research environment, helping me further explore my interests and develop myself.
